Mandala Bird
Located in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. Eaglenest is Jewel of Indian birding within an area of 217 sq km. The altitude range of Eaglenest varies from 500 m to 3300 m. The range of elevation makes this place an extra ordinary place for birding. Eaglenest comprises a diverse habitat of great altitudinal range of semi-evergreen forest and tropical wet evergreen forest. The birding in Eaglenest is not demanding. The unpaved road connects the whole sanctuary which makes it good excess to the entire altitudinal range.
Few Important birds of Eaglenest are; Bugun liocichla, Ward's Trogon, Beautiful Nuthatch, Barwing, 7 species of Wren Babblers, 4 species of Shortwings, Rufous-necked Hornbill, Sikkim Wedge-billed Babbler, 3 species Trogopan's, many species of Laughing Thrush, Great/ Lesser Rufous-headed Parrotbill. Nameri National Park situated on the left bank of Jia-Bhoraeli River in Assam bordering with Pakke Wildlife sanctuary & Tiger Reserve of Arunachal Pradesh. The national park is located in the foothills eastern Himalayas and is a paradise of bird lovers with more than 300 species of birds found in the area. Which 35 kms from Tezpur. Nameri has got total area of 200 sq kms. Nameri was declared as forest reserve in 1978 and is a very important part of birding tourist of around the world.
Day 01 : Guwahati - Nameri
Meet your Guide & driver at Guwahati (Airport) , Drive for 5-6 hrs to Nameri NP ( Lunch En-route). If Time permits than Evening birding session (Around the camp). Have dinner at Camp. O/N Tents.
Day 02 : Nameri - Lama Camp
Morning birding session at Nameri NP, this session involves birding by foot. After morning session have breakfast & drive for 5-6 hrs to Lama camp ( Eaglnenest ) . En route we will be stopping for birding, there are few important birding spots on the highway. This afternoon we will have Lunch in Highway restaurants. Evening arrival at Lama camp. O/N tents.

Day 03 : Lama Camp - Bompu Camp
Morning birding session around Lama camp, Have breakfast at camp & drive to Bompu camp. We have full day birding in Eaglenest. We will take packed lunch. Evening arrival at Bompu. O/N Tents.
Day 04 : Bompu Camp
Full day birding in Lower elevation forest, we will have early breakfast & move for full day birding session in lower elevation areas till Sessini. We will have packed lunch. Evening back to Bompu camp. O/N tents.
Day 05 : Bompu Camp
Early breakfast, start your full day birding session to higher elevation forest till Eaglenest pass. We will have packed lunch. Evening drive back to Bompu. O/N Tents.
Day 06 : Bompu Camp
Have Early breakfast & start Full day birding in Lower elevation forest New Khelong. We will have packed lunch. Evening back to Bompu camp. O/N tents.
Day 07 : Bompu - Lama Camp
Early Morning post breakfast , drive to Lama camp, full day birding in higher elevation of Eaglenest. O/N Tents.
Day 08 : Lama Camp - Dirang
Pre breakfast birding session around Lama camp, later drive for 5 hrs to Dirang town, evening visit Shangti Valley. O/N Hotel.
Day 09 : Dirang - Sela pass - Mandala
This is long day, Early morning getup 03:00 hrs, drive for 3 hrs to Sela pass, Birding high elevation & later drive to Mandala. O/N Lodge.
Day 10 : Mandala
Full day birding around Mandala, this day includes birding in Higher as well as lower elevations. O/N Lodge.
Day 11 : Mandala - Guwahati
Early morning, drive for 9 hrs to Guwahati. En route birding. Drop at Guwahati. End of trip.

Accommodation
Accommodation is offered at all locations. Most of the accommodations are basic clean, During Eaglnest stay (Lama & Bompu Camp) accommodation will be tents with cots & bedding, there are common clean toilets at Lama & Bompu camp. During stay at Nameri / Dirang / Mandala accommodation is neat & clean, accommodation will be in tents & rooms with attached toilets. Our costs are based on 'twin-sharing' foundation. For those who wants single room, we offer single room, but at extra cost.
Terrain
The landscape is varied starting flats of Assam to mountain roads of Arunachal.
Climate
Mostly moderate in Nameri, Arunachal part will be cold & moist.
Transportation/Support Vehicles
All transport is involved in the cost. It will be 4-5 person is a vehicle + Birding Guide.
Food
Food is a very essential part of these trips. We make sure that the meals we offer is method delicious, unless you ask for dull meals. You are also permitted the choice of veggie or non-vegetarian meals. We suggest that you consume only the canned standard water. Please make sure that the container is enclosed. As EAGLENEST IS WILDLIFE SANCTUARY, therefore Non Veg food is not permitted by Forest dept. Therefore during Eaglenest part only Veg food is served.

Health
Malaria is an avoidable disease that can create trouble if neglected. One can prevent disease by taking recommended anti-malarial drugs and defending against insect attacks. The areas you will be passing are Malaria-free. Make sure that your insurance provider includes illnesses and injuries overseas.
Precautions
- Bring all the important medications and OTC medications. Do not ignore to have the brands as well as the general titles of the medications one needs to have.
