Passang Lamu Khrimey

An enterprising lady studied from Sofia College , Ajmer , She is commonly known as “ Anu Passang “ she comes from Shertukpen community , based in Rupa town of Arunachal , Anu Passang always had keen interest in working with local communities , She also has a strong drive in bringing Arunachal in tourism map of India, she worked as president of Arunachal tour operators association , also is the founding member of west kameng based organization known as “ APACETS “ through which she works with local community to promotes local handicrafts / Agricultural studies / Tourism etc. She is the Head of operation for Eagle Nest & Mandala tourism projects started by TVC ( Tukpen Village council ) & Dirang Monpa community based in Dirang.

Passang is presently active in mobilizing local community in Anti hunting agendas & conservation of Shertukpen & Monpa forests.

Thombu Tsering & Chechandu

They hail from Rupa town of Arunachal Pradesh .They are a symbol of a new generation of Shertupen tribe who wants see change in their own areas . They both are young but also have an outlook of an Old tribal man. They understand the balance between conserving their ageold cultural values & moving with new changing times . Well equipped with cultural values & knowledge they are just fun to be If you are interested knowing about the old tribal culture . As team they have explored each & every corner of Shertukpen forests , Be it any season they have done it.

They ,as team are incharge of mobilizing local community towards a new look & approach to their area.

Gaurav Kataria

A Man with many hats. A graduate in commerce from Bhagat Singh College, Delhi.

From trekking tours to Mt. Kailash to Angling on Kali & Ram Ganga for years. And when he looked back found nothing which touched his soul. Taking the first trip to North East in 2006 with a point and shot camera. As he was no birder or a bird/ wildlife photographer. When he reached Nameri National park and looking at the mountain felt that he found his solace. Then he knew that the place he ever dreamed of is the North-East. After months of travelling in every corner of the region got back to Delhi. He got himself a new sets of camera and starting exploring more in birding.

And then he decided to do something for the region. And the next trip was with his wife to Assam & Arunachal Pradesh on private tour. He fell in love and since then never stopped.

He has collected/ shot photos of many rear species of bird and he one of the few the country who has it.

He is a mentor, motivator, very positive and straight to his love for the region.

Bengia Mrinal

Born in Koloriang in Kurung Kumey District of Arunachal Pradesh is a full time partner in Arunachal Birding Tours having spent the past twelve years in Tourism sector. Never knew what tourism is. All it started when he went to Delhi after graduation to study Law as always dreamed by his mother. As he knew he can't keep studying for rest of his life as landed already in Delhi have to do something, found out that Tourism is the only field where Arunachal has vast scope, decided to get a degree Tourism. He did his Post Graduate Diploma from IITTM, ChanakyaPuri, New Delhi 2003. He join a travel company in Arunachal as an camp assistance for birding camps in Namdapha which he didn't like the hardship and decided to be Culture tour escort/ guide. Worked for a travel company in Delhi for a year and came to Arunachal to start his career as tour guide/escort. Having graduated in History was little easy for him to pursue. Worked for next 5 years and realize that this not he always wanted. Went independent freelancing and started birding with little bird photography. Ever since he is involve in Bird tours and conservation. He has travelled independently in the entire region of North-East India and many part of India. Has worked and lived in Delhi. It is this love of travel and birds that finally convinced him to take the long desired step of combining the two. Widely called/ known as Bully (only by name not by size or character) has the children - Cathrine and Takkar. He runs the day to day aspects of the business, arranges all your guides and accommodation and other elements of your holidays and will be the first contact you have with Arunachal Birding Tours via the office. Bully also leads mostly cultural, safari tours in the region. His birding travels so far for have taken him to Corbett, Pangot and mainly in North-East Region and many more to see. He is instrumental in organising many workshops in the state. Away from birding and travel he is a passionate, enjoys family life, cooking a variety of cuisines, bird, landscape and people photography. He is currently the Vice President of Arunachal Pradesh Tour Operators Association and General Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Birding Club.

Lobsang Tsering

Hailing originally from Dirang, Lobsang is now lives with his wife and children in Ramaling village in the vicinity of Eaglenest Wildlife sanctuary. He is very active on the local birding scene, he along with Bengia Mrinal have explored much in different part of Arunachal viz; Tale Wildlife sanctuary, East Kameng-Pakke Kesang, Pakhui/ Pakke Wildlife Sanctuary, Namdapha, Gibbon WLS, Nameri/ Manas/ Kazriang National park to name a few. He is a dedicated patch worker, never happier than when finding his own birds. He worked as a helper in the camps, listening the talks among the guides then and realise and picked up bird watching and few years later became a life long profession for him. He accompanied with many researchers as an assistant in field works in Bird Conservation and data collection. He is the expert in the area and knows what he is doing.

Lobsang also have accompanied with researchers on field research work on butterflies, moths, frogs, snakes etc. He has accompanied many top birders of the world in his carrier. He leads most of our trips in Northeast India. He has been a tour leader for Arunachal Birding Tours ever since its conception.

Bengia Daniel

Daniel born and brought up in Arunachal Pradesh is another feather in Arunachal Birding Tours. At very early age of 16 years when many of his friends were studying he started as an camp assistance in 2006 with a birding company when birding was not a very demanding in Arunachal was only in the initially stage of bird tourism, so have started leading Cultural tours, lead many tours since then. Since the inception of ABT, Daniel supported his brother for all logistic support. He is currently pursuing Degree in Tourism Management side by side and a full time Guide/ Escort. During the last 3 years he has become increasingly focused on leading birding tours in Arunachal Pradesh. He have all the knowledge of the area is in and manage all our logistics support beside looking after our camps and lodges.

Sabir Mallick

Life took Sabir into tourism, travel has changed his life and he never looked back! He is passionate about travel and he loves to share his passion with you. He enjoys organizing a tours or being on a tour and being able to speak his heart and share his beautiful country and culture with some amazing travellers. He regularly joins one of the group adventure, photo or biking tours, and he gives all he can to make each of customers holidays the best they have ever had. The best moments on the tour are when he realises that customers don't just see him as a tour organiser, but also as a friend. He is talented photographer aiming to capture the real India, the essence of this exotic country, its people, wildlife, landmarks, landscapes exploring every corner of the country. He is the person who keeps us updated from everything happening in the circle. He is one person who solves everything we need. In his spare time he likes reading classical literature, he is a big movie fan and passionate spectator of European and South American soccer.

Sharma Ji

A man of many skills is nerve of the team. Hailing from Nepal and leaves in India for past 35 years. He is the man who will make sure that you are well fed and ready for your day. You ask him any time of the day and he is there for you. He have led 100 expedition trips to Mt. Kailash, Nepal, Leh-Ladakh. You can see him in our camps, cycling trips, angling trips which is what we best do. He is with company since its inception.
